 Tracy Stodart, LMHC

Tracy Stodart received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Tampa, and her Master's of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. She has held a Florida State license in Mental Health Counseling since 1999. Tracy has spent the past twenty-one years working with children and families in the foster care system, and has expertise in the areas of grief and loss issues, childhood trauma related to abuse issues, and training and support to caregivers. Since joining the Axis team in 2005, she has working primarily with domestic and international adoptive applicants, providing adoption training, home study assessments, and post-placement supervision services. She also conducts birth parent interviews and offers supportive services.

 Tracy's approach to children's issues is based upon a developmental model, and believes that each child has strengths that can be nurtured and enhanced through a meaningful adult connection. She is the proud parent of a twelve year old son and a ten year old daughter, and is often amazed, and humbled, by their individuality, humor, and love of life.

Jo Ann Welch, LCSW

Jo Ann Welch, LCSW, has devoted over 30 years of service to the adoption field and the foster care community.  She is a mentor and advisor to many and the lives she has touched are countless.  Jo Ann obtained her Bachelor's degree at Indiana University and her Masters degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida.  Jo Ann began her service in adoption in 1976 as a supervisor of the Adoption and Related Services Unit of the Department of Health & Rehabilitative Services (now the Florida Department of Children & Families). 

Jo Ann maintains a private practice while also serving as the President of the Board of Axis, a clinical consultant for Heartfelt Adoption Services, Inc. and is a Board member of Heartfelt Adoption Services.  She is also a field instructor for the University of South Florida, School of Social Work.  Jo Ann is a member of the Florida Adoption Council. 

Jo Ann is a true advocate for what is right and just for children and families in our community.  She was recognized for her outstanding work and dedication to the field by the Florida Adoption Council by being awarded the first annual "Adoption Star" award in 2007 at their annual conference.

Jo Ann lives with her husband, John, in Boca Grande, Florida and today, continues her commitment as a staunch advocate for the betterment of families and permanency for children all over our state. 

Katharine Coogan, LMHC

Kathy Coogan, LMHC, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor.  She received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 1997 and her M.A. in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling in December, 2001.  Kathy also has a Graduate Certificate in Play Therapy which she obtained in 2005. 

Kathy has worked in the Social Services field as a State Hospital Liason and Community Screener, a Clinical Supervisor for Case Managers, and as an Independent Contractor providing mental health services. 

June Lewis, R.N., LCSW

June Lewis, R.N., LCSW has been providing adoption counseling, home studies, adoptive parenting education and group and individual counseling on issues dealing with attachment, separation and loss since 1987. She is a co-founder of Adoption Affiliates of South Florida and a member of The Florida Adoption Council.  June worked as a Registered Nurse in the mental health field prior to her career as a Clinical Social Worker.  June received her Master of Social Work from Barry University in Miami Fl, her Bachelor of Science in Education from State University of New York, New York and earned her registered Professional Nurse degree from State University of New York and Albany General Hospital, N.Y. June lives with her daughter April, two dogs, two cats, and a pond full of Koi in Miami, Florida. 



Janee' Daye, BSW

 

Janee’ Daye has been working in the child welfare field for 11 years.  Janee’ is a native of Chapel Hill, North Carolina but has been a Florida resident for last seven years.  Janee’ received her bachelors degree is social work from North Carolina State University in 1996.  Since that time she has worked exclusively in child welfare in the public and private sector. Her experiences have been in foster care case management, adoption case management, facilitating training for foster and adoptive parents, facilitating support groups for foster and adoptive parents, adoption recruiter, conducting foster and adoptive home studies, training adoptive and foster parents, and training adoption case managers.       

 Janee’ resides in the Tampa Bay area with her husband and two active young children.  Janee’ enjoys the experience of a blended family first hand as she has two teenage stepsons and two adopted siblings.  Janee’ enjoys spending quality time with her family at home and going to the Disney Parks.

Victoria Wooten, LCSW

Victoria earned her Masters of Social Work degree in 1997 from the University of South Florida.  She was licensed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2000.  Her areas in adoption practice include:  interviews, consultation, supervision, home study and post-placement reports, assessments, and counseling.  Victoria is active with the Florida Adoption Council and Family Service Centers, Inc.  Victoria resides in the Indian Rocks Beach, Florida area with her husband of 35 years.  She has two grown children.   

Adrienne Rich Hochman, LCSW

Adrienne Rich Hochman, LCSW, has been a practicing licensed clinical social worker since 1982.  She specializes in working with adoptive families; providing home studies, post-adoption visits, consultations, and counseling of both birth and adoptive parents.  In addition, she maintains a private psychotherapy practice working with individuals and couples.  She is co-founder of Adoption Affiliates of South Florida and a member of the Florida Adoption Council. 

Adrienne previously worked as a medical social worker and in a social service agency providing adoption and birthparent services.  She earned her Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Boston University and a Masters in Social Work from Boston University in 1974.  She is a native Floridian and lives with her husband and is the mother of two young adult sons.
